 Winter is a magical time of year. A great time to cuddle up with some tea or cocoa and some fun books to read on a snowy and blowy day.

Dance Like Snowflakes
(Tune: Are You Sleeping?)

Dance like snowflakes, dance like
snowflakes
In the air, in the air
Whirling, twirling snowflakes
Whirling, twirling snowflakes
Here and there, here and there

Play Mitten Hide and Seek
Have your child/ren hide their eyes while you "hide" a mitten in the room.

(It should be placed in plain view)

Have your child/ren find the mitten and then he/she can hide it for you to find.

Make some treats for the birds and other animals.

Here's what you'll need...

•Popcorn and round cereal
•Dried fruit apricots, cherries, and cranberries are good

•Fishing line or monofilament
•Scissors
•Large, thick needle (like a darning needle)

1. Thread your needle with your fishing line. Thread on popcorn and dried fruit.

2. Hang or drape on trees and along fences and watch the winter birds come into your yard (you may even have other little creatures eating from your feeder as well!).

You need a cookie sheet, different colored tempera paint in cups, and paintbrushes.

Take your child/ren outside in the snow and have them pack the cookie sheet with snow(once we get some.)

Let them paint on the snow using the paintbrushes.

Remember to take a picture so you will have a keep sake. (Send one to us and we will post it!)
